@ThreeBallz Notice in the video the safe isnt bolted down and against a corner, and it lacks plenty of locking bolts. The door is also not thick.

So you need a thick door so its hard to get a crow bar into it, also you want bolts around all four sides of the door, and bolt it down in a corner/wall. You can also put weights inside the safe.

This will deter all but the pros. Having watchful neighbors and a security system and dogs helps.

A safe only buys you time. None are 100% burglar proof. You want a thick door, not a plate door. And you want as many locking bolts on the door as you can get. Browning and liberty make pretty good safes.

Remember, thick door, lots of bolts, heavy, and ALWAYS BOLT IT DOWN.

Thieves always wear black hoodies. always

  4. mk23fan Says:

This is slightly dishonest. NO SAFE will stop a professional, determined burglar. Safes are there to stop smash and grab criminals, typical meth heads and other street scum.

Great video. What would you say a good safe is for about 600.00? thanks for your help

  6. karlebyrdjr Says:

how about the guy let the 2 “thieves” work on some of his safes……i would bet that they could get similar results even with his “top line” safes…..

btw if a safe is placed correctly say in a closet and bolted to the floor and walls with the door open side against a wall it is almost impossible for any thief to get into even this type safe…

  7. arnoldstwin36 Says:

Ok, lets not be over dramatic. First of all, your standard thief is not going to be carrying around a large prybar like in the video UNLESS they know there is a safe in there…bottom line. A regular crowbar? Yes, but that will be inefficient. Also, if you have the safe securely anchored to the floor and in a space where you cant tip it over, it’s going to take a long time to break open. Nice try fellas.

  8. noham4me Says:

Safes are so overpriced that they have to make a video like this with scary music to convince people that more money = a better safe. Placement and attachment to structure will make even the less expensive safes very difficult to get into. I wonder why they don’t show us those same guys attempting to break into one of the other safes in that warehouse?

  9. ThreeBallz Says:

so is a liberty Lincoln safe worth it or is Graffunder better?

  10. KMan420SH Says:

What if that safe was in a tight closet and bolted/fastened to the floor or walls? Those long tools would not be effective. Video makes a good point but unless you face an experienced pro thief the crackheads won’t breach a safe like that in a tight environement.

  11. josh070389 Says:

@martinblank917 i agree this is a bit dramatic

  12. rsx123 Says:

What’s not beliveable about 2 criminals with crow bars in a burglery?

  13. rsx123 Says:

Then they wouldn’t even need to tip it over… If the criminal wants it, he’ll get it.

  14. CenterTree777 Says:

uh, FYI…. a passport in very “replaceable”.

  15. mutexnet Says:

What are your thoughts on a Winchester Legacy? I think its UL fire rated but not sure for burglery….. Thanks. 5 star vid.

  16. Snopczynski Says:

Most of the time, they will use tools you have in your own garage. The majority of attempted safe break-ins I have seen are done when no one is home. Some guys do carry tools, but if they break in to pry open your safe, they will do it when your not home.

  17. Snopczynski Says:

Every manufacturer makes a gun safe likte this. So as long as you shop by price, and not security level, you will buy something that can be pried open.

  18. martinblank917 Says:

Lol. My gun safe is bolted to my floor and it’s back is against a concrete wall. Good luck trying to tip it over. Hey, is that guy seriously going to enter someone’s house with a 5 foot prybar??? I’m sure that’s real stealthy for a burglar to do. It’s easy to use that thing in an empty warehouse, but try wielding that thing in someone’s dark home in the middle of the night.
In broad daylight even without noise being an issue, he’d never have the clearance to use that thing in my house.

  19. gulfport69 Says:

Who makes this safe so I can avoid buying it?

  20. Snopczynski Says:

If you buy a good safe, in the long run its cheaper than a safety deposit box, and you have access to your valubles anytime you want.

I dont keep my grandpas duck gun somewhaere it can get stolen, it is my safe.

A $1000 safe in most cases, and this one is not good at all.

  21. 767dag Says:

hey to get your point ….these are homeowners , i think you just proved that a 1000 safe is good

  22. augusthour Says:

If you’re keeping those things (passports, gold watches, etc.) in a GUN SAFE you probably deserver to go through hell if you lose them. You should keep the un-replaceable things like passport and gold watch in a safety deposit box. That’s what they’re for. If you don’t want to lose grandpa’s duck gun, don’t keep it somewhere that it can get stolen.

  23. jaehood109 Says:

Lol well thank god i dont live in a house , i have an apt instead in nyc….still u could get robbed but you will most likely be caught and arrested or killed by the person your robbing.

  24. snedie69er Says:

    @jaehood109
Yer it’s called not keeping anything lol

  25. jaehood109 Says:

Is there ANY safe or vault thats Super Strong…i mean we have all this technology and we still cant come up with something extremely and impossible to break…it may be price but shit its worth it!
