cool
hurray for coffee breaks!
A virus I can buy for $5? what a good investment eh
i want it O.O then my sf’s mac will ”die” then i will fix it and take that mac >:D
sus, I can’t imagine how long this must’ve taken. I tried studying python and C++, neither of which I could stick with. It’s really amazing what people can
i thought almost all hard disks have this feature, well, at least HP
They call is SuddenMotionSensor and it is actually meant to measure sudden movements to detect that the notebook is falling down. If a sudden motion is detected, the HDD goes into “park” position so that the data wont be damaged if the head touches the disk. There are some useful and funny apps that use the sensor
yep.
Yeah it’s got something to do with that hard drive
so if i download this does it affect my mac?
do macs hav an accellerometer? holy cow
@Goomba4001 yeah, if u look on the website, it waits to make sure that they are there (checks for typing, mouse movement etc) and then strikes at random. It stops after 60 seconds, and i dont think it works on snow leopard yet
Pretty cool, but the Mac doesn’t automatically copy the file to the HD, like it said it would. But, regardless, this is a pretty cool accelerometer trick.
I wish i had that virus on my windows machine, can someone port it to windows lol
Most laptops these days have accelerometers in the HDD for reliability purposes, it probably uses that
@mrroboto396 linux yeah!!!! i use ubuntu
that uses the accelerometer in the hard drive
ahhh como’n people if u see i already said sorry ……stop bothering me
most laptops have this
it has an accelerometer, genius.
Jesus, I can’t imagine how long this must’ve taken. I tried studying python and C++, neither of which I could stick with. It’s really amazing what people can do.
I understand what u r saying but to be fair mac os 9 had viruses and the % of mac users was less. 4% (now) of the market is still alot and a viable target +mac users normally have money making them attractive to people who make tojans etc. Windows is a good platform, microsoft just has no control over the 1000’s of pieces of hardware they have to be compitable with making them an easier target for exploits while apple has control.
Question for those arguing about themac vs pc ordeal with viruses: Are we assuming the macs dont get viruses? Because that seems to be the case. In truth, they get viruses just as easily. Its just there there are fewer people who make viruses for the mac. For one reason, its harder, two, there are fewer mac owners. If Im tryinh to decide on steeling apples or ornages, but there are more apples, then Im going to go after that.
@mrroboto396 mee too
what? windows? i ditched that since Vista. i use Linux
